MoSoul of Youth

Ever since I been working with Reasons 2 Rhyme , I am so proud of my generation. Instead of letting the negative images of mainstream media plaguing our minds, we are aware and educated of our youth, personality, and individuality. Most importantly, we broaden our minds and express ourselves through the arts. We stand for a cause within poetry and use spoken word as our weapon. Each year our numbers grow in the audience and more than half of them are young people. We are more than children, we are the future.

MoSoul. Midnight. You.

The kick-off of the MoSoul Poetry Festival starts at 11:59 p.m. in the City Arts Studio Theatre at the Greensboro Cultural Arts Center: MoSoul at Midnight.  Starting this Friday, the first MoSoul at Midnight will set the tone for 2011 Summer of MoSoul. Rawness, uncut stories, and gratifying details are what the 10 poets will bring to the stage as the spotlight is on them. The intimate environment will transferred you into the unknown world that only spoken word can take you.  Bring a date, friend, or let it just be a girl’s night out for the first MoSoul at Midnight this summer. Instead of drinking troubles, let spoken word wash your problems away at MoSoul @ Midnight. MoSoul is more than an experience or a movement; it’s therapy. 10 poets, 10 dollars, but priceless performances.
